Well, she's my best friend Marilyn. She's a makeup artist. She doesn't promote any specific brand of cosmetics. It explains everything...

A good friend of the Wii Fit Mommies, @PartyElizabeth (her site is "Party Planning Professor") took a challenge this weekend to get 400 signatures by Monday on her post spreading the word about autism and what it really is.
Please go to her post Rawtism.com and leave a comment and help her reach her goal for a great cause. Each comment raises $0.25 for autism research.
Thank you all my terrific readers for helping such a great cause...please spread the word!!!
Let's all share the love -

One night last week, Alex told me a very elaborate story as we snuggled in the back seat of the car. The intricate story in and of itself was a major accomplishment as we're working hard on developing his expressive language skills. I really didn't need anything more to make me happy.
The story he told happened "when he was a tiny boy" (he's four) and he lived in a haunted house in San Jose, CA (that's where we live). Inside the house were five ghosts, fifteen goblins, and twenty bad guys. (Oh my!) The bad guys were hitting him in one eye.
I asked him, "Did anyone come to help you and make the bad guys stop?"
He looked straight into my eyes and with the most pristine sincerity said, "You. You're a super hero. You saved my life."
PASS THE TISSUES!!!
And if that crystallized moment doesn't make up for all the times when I feel like a terrible mother whose child is careening down the road straight into the therapist's couch...
I guess I'm doing something right -

Clearly, as a SAHM I don't get out of the house much...so I'm telling everyone who'll listen or read:
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!
I don't need presents. I just need a little fuss made over moi and I'm a happy camper.
I Twittered it was my birthday and I received well wishes from 27 of my adorable followers! How cool is that?!? I also received no less than six emails from various sites wishing me a Bonne Anniversaire as well. This social media thing is cool!
I'm about to go get on my Wii Fit and see what it says...tee-hee-hee.
Clearly, I'm easy to please.
And now for my birthday haiku for this, my 44th year. Ahem,
Glad to be 44.
Much wiser than 34.
Still need more info.
Finding a new me,
beneath the extra poundage,
Wii Fit Mommies rocks!
Made new buds this year,
Cherishing the old friends too.
I'm so very blessed,
My two guys love me,
Changed my life for the best,
I love them so much.
Pass the Kleenex NOW!
Cuz the happy tears flow strong...
I deserve all this!
Practice consistent
persistence...I try & try
more. Perfect? Not me.
The Good Enough Witch
is who I am...My readers
made it happen. Thanks.
Mucho, mucho cyberhugs to each and every one of you!

Here's a geeky little blast from my past...I made this tissue paper snowflake in kindergarten in 1970 my friends. (I'll save you from doing the math...that will make me 44 in January!)
Hat's off to my mom for preserving it so well when during my formative years. She gave it to me at least 15 years ago and I've managed to preserve it since by keeping it flattened inside a Christmas coffee table book.
Looking at it just warms my heart in that little "I'm an innocent five year old kindergartner way." It really recaptures the joys of a child's feeling at Christmas.
Big warm fuzzy huh?
Not to mention, we could practically classify it as a "Christmas Miracle" as it's stayed in such great condition for the past nearly forty years!
It's made out of bits of different colored tissue paper glued together and framed by a piece of green yarn. Kinda makes you wonder, "WHAT was in that 1970's glue?" I don't think it's damaged my brain too much...whacka! whacka! quack! (I'm kidding people...)
At a playdate over the weekend, my friend Laura proudly showed me a cookie dough Christmas ornament she made when she was three that was hanging on her tree. So apparently I'm not the only sentimental geek out there...
I'd love to here your stories about what ornaments and keepsakes that "make your little heart sing" at the holidays. Leave a comment so we can all share!
Here's to reliving warm fuzzy memories -
